Zumba rocks at BAC!

Zumba Fitness with Laurie Lou, otherwise known as the zumba fitness ninja at BAC (Buffalo Athletic Club) regularly packs over 70 people into the aerobics studio for her high powered Zumba classes!
(Better come early to get a good spot.)

Laurie, who has close to a cult-like following, is a high octane spark plug!

I'm 4'11" and Laurie seems to have an inch or two on me, but she busts it when the music comes on.

I have Zumba-ed before, but this girl Z-U-M-B-A-S !!!!!

I like to stand in the front and pretend that I am just half as cute as Laurie!
But sometimes I sneak in the back when I am late and still love the class.
But really I think that I burn more calories when I stand right behind my zumba fitness ninja.
And my Nike Plus Fuelband, that I use to measure my Nike Fuel and my calorie burn, agrees.

Here's an article on avoiding injuries during Zumba.

  1. Marge- I love this blog- Zumba is such a rewarding workout- not just for the calories burned but for the atmosphere the people in class make. It is such a fun, energetic, and safe environment. I couldnt ask for a more wonderful group of people to share my "happy" hour with. The room is wall to wall with smiles as everyone loses themselves in the music. It is so gratifying for me to lead everyone in their workout. I dont do it for the money, I do it for the passion I have and being there to lead everyone in their workout. Everyone has a story and forgets it this hour with me and for that Im grateful- and also for all the amazing people I have met and continue to meet on my zumba journey- dedicated everyone is!!! Thank you for your kind words...

  2. Take it positively, darling. :) Be competitive, but don’t take it too seriously. Just take it as something that can motivate you. Zumba is for everyone regardless of shape, age, and SIZE, alright? :D Enjoy every class while you feel your body get toned and energized.
